Lakme Sunexpert Sunscreen SPF30+

After my successful tryst with the new Sunexpert range from Lakme, I decided to try yet another product from this range. You know how I usually wear sunscreen with high spf ( read more than 40+++). I was looking for one to slip into my bag when I'm not home and I had purchased a small cute 20 gm tube. I was pretty happy with that. But that one is almost finished. So, I'll do the review with photos of the bigger tube.

Price and quantity: 100ml for 250 INR, 55 ml for 175 INR and 20 ml for 69 INR

Suitable for : oily skin type.

Now my experience:
I did not expect too much from this. but when I took it out, I found a kind of slightly tinted cream which is highly moisturizing. This moisturizing part had scared me a bit and I stayed away from it for a while. A few days later, as I was out of my home, I had to wash my face. Having no other option I pulled out my 20 ml tube and applied it all over my face. And yes, this is what I found. It hydrated my skin ( although it is oily) and the cream kind of gets absorbed and then sets in. Due to its moisturizing properties, I thought I was sure to turn into a shiny oil bulb some time later. but surprisingly that did not happen. My face remained moisturized and shine free for more than 2 hours after which it had become oily again in its natural pace , rather the oiliness came back later than normal. My pigmented spots were not deepened in spite of my being out in the sun for quite some time.

In brief:
The Good
1) It hydrates the skin and keeps oiliness at bay for quite sometime.
2) The skin looks mildly dewy and the pores don't seem to look large.
3) The protection is pretty high . For people with no major sun issues, will find this very useful.
4) the 3 variants makes it perfect for the size you want.
5) The smaller tube has a narrow nozzle to avoid spillage when you are to quickly apply it.
5) Smells good.
6) really offers sun protection unlike the previous sun-care range.
7) The bigger tube is also sturdy. Though I won't really advice you to carry it while traveling, I don't think it would spill as the flip cap is tight enough
8) It protected my skin to a noticeable extent in the sense I did not notice any major deepening of my sun spots.
9) Does not leave any whitish cast at all.

The Bad:
1) Although it is SPF 30. it does not offer complete protection of +++.
2) People with dry skin would love this the most as it is quite hydrating.
3) The flipcap, I don't know, might spill if you are traveling from lower to higher altitude

Other than this, I'm quite liking the lotion and I'm planning to carry it while I'll be on a trip to the hills this October.
This new range looks like have lived up to my expectation.

Do I recommend? If you have normal or mildly photosensitive skin, this might be the product for you

So, have you used this? What are your thoughts?
