Vaseline Lip Therapy-- Cocoa Butter

When it comes to the brand Vaseline, honestly I am a bit more demanding than I am with any other brand. Why? I love the quality and quantity it delivers for the price. perhaps Vaseline is the only pocket friendly brand that makes body lotions etc that works for my body skin.

Price : 100 INR for 4 gm

When I saw these at store I was excited. later when I tried this one, I was a little crest fallen at first. because in extreme cold, this did no work the way I expected this to. Once that bad cold is over, I tried this again and I am glad that I tried it again. My lips which are really dry and often flaky would not be soothed by anything. But along came this one and rescued it.
These days, I put on a thick layer at night and wipe it off in the morning with my towel. it removes all the flakes and dead cells and keeps my lips soft through the rest of the day. Indeed,I am not reaching out for balms as much as I normally do.

Moral: First impression is not all.

What I could have liked more:
  • Had the balm been less waxy. but then, this actually helps the balm stay put all night or be worn under lipstick.
  • Been a bit more moisturizing. it failed in winter for me, because of this. But now the dryness in the weather is reduced, it's better.
  • The price could have been lesser . I don;t say this is a bad quality. But at this price, we do have options.
What do you think?  Have you tried this? Agree or disagree with me?

The product was sent to me by the brand for consideration, but that has NOT affected my review.

  1. I have this in the tin form and I guess it works OK as all Vaseline seems to do is act as a barrier between my skin and irritants but when I have nothing else on hands, it's OK.

    1. yeah. That's nice. Even in winters, after putting on moisturizers etc, a layer of Vaseline really helps to keep chapping at bay

    1. I have never seen the tins here. But yes, chapsticks are always handy. Even though I like the cute little tubs, when I'm not home, I reach out for chapsticks only.

  3. Rs 100 for 4 gms seems too much.........would rather give it a miss

    1. hey! 4 grams is actually not very little! regular lipsticks that we take ages to finish up and often do not finish up at all are 4 grams. The quatity would go a long way!

  5. I feel like adding some more cash and get the TBS lip balm. Though i like the packaging of the Vasline's lip balms :).

    1. Hahahah! The TBS would cost double. But IMO even though they have this feel good factor ( I'm addicted to them), I feel they do not moisturize the lips from inside. So from practical point of view I feel this would score better compared to this :)
