Often, pertaining to makeup, I have wished certain things which has always remained a wish, in our Indian scenario. What? I have wished for certain makeup brands and the BIGEEST challenge is the lack of good brushes.
I know, many of you would jump up and say that MAC brushes do an amazing job, so do Sigmabeauty brushes. Honestly, I can't afford them. Had I been a makeup artist, getting those would not be a splurge for me, because that would have become a 'necessity'. Still, there are brands that deliver quality product at an amazing price. I was talking to a friend, who also happens to be an owner of a reputed e-store that sells beauty products. She suggested, that I make a wish list.
I thought, why not ask for you opinion as well.
So, here is my wishlist:
Real technique ( These brushes are used by many YouTube gurus and it's a line started by a pixiwoo sister). From the reviews etc, these are super affordable and are very good quality. Pocket friendly, they deliver professional quality finish. Even Ulta sells them.
Ecotools: I won't say all of them are value for money. But their face brushes ( kabuki, blush, powder etc. ) are amazing.
For brushes like these that last a long time, I wouldn't mind shelling out a bit without having to break the bank.
ELF Professional brushes: ELF was made available is certain stores. But the regular range, I hear is very inconsistent. But they have a studio/professional range which is a bit pricier than the regular one. Say, they start at abour $3 and can go upto I guess $8 which is still very affordable. Their face brushes do a really good job. Even Dulcecandy uses them.
I use and like: I like Faces cosmetics brushes. No, not the sets, but the individual brushes. Their eyeshadow brush does an amazing job. I hear the double ended foundation brush is also pretty good. I am using two of vega eyemakeup brushes from their professional range. I won't say they are the best brushes around, but for the price and the discounts always available, they are a steal.
I would love to see: Kabuki brushes, flat topped face brushes and eyemakeup brushes-- the crease, pencil, dome, shader, etc. The special designs that is.
If Coastal Scents could be made available, nothing better than that!
Wetnwild: I am in fact planning to get hold of some of these cheap , yet amazing eye shadow products from this brand
Jesse's girl and Milani Cosmetics: I know many of you have not heard of these brands. Let me tell you, the former makes some amazing cosmetics. If you don't believe me, a peak into the US fashion magazines like Seventeen, would tell you everything!
I have used a Milani eyeshadow and a blush. They are not as cheap as wet n wild, but trust me, they are one of the best pigmented and amazing quality makeups I have ever come across. The blushes are sure to take your breath away. Wish I was a beauty blogger back then
A Note: Now, having said that, I have a confession to make. I am a miser at heart. I always like to save. Then, I don't mind paying for what I get. But I feel reluctant, when say, products are sold at double or triple the price.I understand, the taxes, cost of import, tradsport, everything is getting pricier. Yet, why would I want to spend say, 250 bucks on a NYX lipliner which are sold for a dollar in the US which means 50 INR? At best, I can spend 150 to 180, which makes it almost triple the price. But at 250, I can get hold of brands like Bourjois. I saw a certain website selling LA colors big palettes for 1400 INR . The same palette costs around $8 which means around 200 INR. Why would I want to spend that much of money on a palette like that in stead of getting quite a few shades from reputed brands? Anyway, that's all my thoughts.
What about you? Share with me your wishlist. Brands or products or category and do let me know how much you may actually shell out?
May our wishes come true.
