Biotique Aloe Vera Bio Vera Face and Body Lotion with SPF75

Is Biotique Aloe Vera Bio Vera Face and Body Lotion with SPF75 the solution for me in winters?

This review was pending for a long long time. You could say it has been more than six months since this has been resting in my drafts. Don;t ask me why, because I do not know. My laziness? Not sure.

Story 1
Almost two years ago, my best friend Ash and I had gone hunting for some sunscreens. We bought Biotique products just on an impulse you may say. I was looking for sunscreens when this bottle had caught my attention.

Well, happily we came back home and I liked the fragrance etc. nest day, I tried this on my face and it started to sweat profusely. I tried it again with the same results. Gutsy as I am, I tried this once again and went out. I came back home, severely tanned. So did my friend and thus ended my love for this product.

Story 2: October 2011

We went on a trip to the Himachal and at places like Chopta or Badrinath, the weather was.. cold. Which is an understatement for us who live in the humid and hot climate of the coasts. Nothing was helping and my body skin, which is dry, would not be cured with anything. Luckily, I had this bottle with me. Each morning, after a bath, I would rub this lotion all over my body and voila! My skin would remain hydrated for 24 hours! yes, you read it right. 24 hours!! Since then, i used it up as my HG body lotion for extreme dry situations and what you see is an empty bottle of course.

Why did it work for me?
  1. It smells good. Mild and herbalish.
  2. it spreads easily and is not sticky.
  3. It hydrates my body skin for 24 hours straight in winters!
What did not?
  1. It says it contains SPF 75, but it does not protect my skin. My dark patches had aggravated. I had bought this lotion for it;s sunscreen property only, but it failed to create any kind of impression.
  2. The bottle says it is meant for body and face. But the usage asks you to massage it on your body.

For about 180 INR ( when I purchased) the quantity of 210 ml is not bad.

Shall I repurchase? I would for winters. In summers, it might feel a bit sticky.

Do I recommend? For women with dry skin issues, you MUST try this. But do not expect any sunscreen property from this one. Alright?

I know most of you have used this one because, once upon a time, this had swept people off the feet. let me know if this had worked for you or not.
