What do I do in summer? Dab on Lakme Radiance Compact

Lakme Radiance Compact power, review, swatch, images, shade: Marble

For oilies like me, summers can be a difficult time. More over, I, even though am almost an oil factory, still don't prefer too much of dry skin. As you know, I am staying out almost all day, I don;t want loads of makeups on my skin. But who doesn't want to look prim and fine?
For oily skinned women like me, compacts are one of the best solution. I have been using Lakme compacts for ages in the past. I tried their Perfect Radiance Compact, which I love for winters, but since it does not absorb oil, it's not for me , at least in summers. So, here it is

My lecture on this:
It's a square compact with a round pan inside and an applicator which is no good.
WAIT! Stop, my dislike ends here.

And why do I keep repurchasing?
The powder is quite finely milled and provides a very light coverage. It takes care of the oily look, but does not absorb oil or keep my face shine free for a very long time. But it never breaks me out and makes me look quite good. Like a slightly healthier version of my natural skin. The quantity is quite good. 9 grams at 99 INR is quite light on the pocket. I use my Bourjois Kabuki brush to apply it and that way it works the best as I feel it. It kind of adds more coverage and yet leave my skin looking like my own skin.

Who shall stay away from this?
  •  Women looking for something that would keep their face shine-free ( does that really happen?)
  • Women, expecting the powder to do the job of dry tissue or blotting paper. ( It would not absorb any oil)

Who might like this?
Ladies with combination skin type, crazy women like me who have oily skin, yet prefers a non-mattifying powder, ladies who don't like to have their powder sitting on the skin and making it look like a mask, dry skinned women ( but I would recommend the Perfect Radiance Mineral Compact more)

What shade I wear? Marble. It is sometimes slightly lighter than my skin tone ( I range between MAC NC 40-41). But the yellow under tone makes up for it and makes it perfect. The above image is almost true to the original color I see.

    1. I have used that and I couldn't help liking it. But somehow, this one matches my skin tone more and I did not like the too much drying effect it leaves on my skin

  5. hey btw chambor's navy blue dabba of compact, i think it is called silver powder does control my oiliness for 4-5 hrs, without sitting on my skin like a mask.. do try it.. and though it seems expensive, it is very reasonable since it is a huge quantity.
