Lakme Salon 'Beautiful Brides' at Kolkata: Event

There's so much I want to talk about. Yes,about my recent trip to Mumbai ( I have fallen in love with the city and plan to do posts about it separately). On my way back from Mumbai, I received a call from Lakme. This was the first time Lakme organized an event anywhere in Kolkata and I am glad that I returned to the city yesterday because the event was yesterday itself. So, even though I was dog tired ( party on the night before and an early flight back), I just took a bath and headed out.

Lakme Salon unveiled the "Gorgeous Brides" where they focus on Bengali and Marwari brides. We all know these weddings , rather the brides are all about glitter and glam!

The celebrated makeup artist Sushma Khan was there to demonstrate the air-brush makeup techniques.
The models just looked so gorgeous! Anybody would have confused the Bengali bride for a real bride ( at least I did) and the model for Marwari bride, OMG!! She just looked like a butterfly!!

Here are some images of the marwari bride

I couldn't take my eyes off her eye-makeup and the beautiful flush of the blush!!

And she was so happy to pose!!

My point and shoot camera did not fare well in the light that was there. But I was amazed at the hair and makeup. The drape of the marwari bride left me speechless! Esp since, I have a weakness for colors! The lashes were in abundance. ( This season ladies, after whatever you do, do not forget to put on the lashes please. If you don't know how to do it, please, watch youtube and practice beforehand)

The dog tired me with Parijat, the Marwari (bengali)  bride.

The Bengali Bride

At the end of the event, I had the chance to talk to Sushma ( btw, she also does makeup for Kareena). She is so down to earth and complied to everybody's requests and demands. Even though, I could see she was a  tired, she answered to all my queries so politely. I asked for some tips about base makeup and under eye problems.. She happily  gave me some customized solutions!!

I would tell you about the tips and etc. in details in the next post may be. So, stay tuned!!

  11. This is the first time I am looking at your proper pic of yourself. You really look very very pretty like a doll I must say! Your smile reminded me of how Kourtney Kardashian smiles where she shows little bit of her teeth lol. And love how that red lip stick is looking with your pretty green top ^_^.
