Tips and Toes 4 in 1 Makeover Stick: A real find?

Tips and Toes 4 in 1 Makeover Stick: review, photos, swatches

There is something that got me too curious. The photos of a portable twist up makeup stick from             Tips and Toes which were regularly featured and recommended in some fashion magazines. Being not sure of the product quality and the shade, I was not ready to stake in about 500 bucks. But now I think I should have and a long time time.

My experience of it: The shade honestly, looks a little lighter on my skin. While I was swiping this, the product kind of glided on which made me doubt it;s oil-free claim. I had tried blending with my kabuki and it
does a neat neat job there. I had also tried my fingers and it was alright. Since this shade is a wee bit lighter than my skintone, I did not layer it on with my fingers. But if it matches you perfectly, that might be a great option.
At last, I tied a damp makeup blending sponge. I kind of swipe it all over my face and then pat and blend with the sponge and the effect is just lovely! My skin looked bright and moisturized and even above all!! I thought I would turn into an oily-bulb. But a light dust of translucent power takes care and surprisingly my skin did not turn oily in course of time.
Later as I also found, it works good in flash as well! What more do I need?

The shade I have is 02 Honey Bisque and I am about a shade darker

The pros:
  1. Blends beautifully.
  2. It does moisturize the skin without making it oily!
  3. A light dust of powder on it, and my skin did not turn oily in course of time.
  4. It imparts a healthy finish which is not exactly dewy but not exactly matte either and I am loving that fact.
  5. A very good quantity for the price. I expect this to last me quite some time.
  6. Portable.
  7. Works good in flash.
  8. Evens out the skintone.
  9. Contains SPF

Cons:
  1. Hard to find.
  2. Doesn't smell specially good, but not bad either. Just the regular cosmetic smell. ( Need improvement). Bur you won;t discern unless you sniff very closely and even that vanishes withing a few minutes.
  3. Shade match might be a bit of problem.
  4. It does not mention the SPF factor.
  5. Does not hide blemishes. it does even out the skintone, but this would not do the job of a concealer. For covering up the blemishes and dark circles, you would need a concealer. But I am alright with that.

Price: 15 gram for 495 INR

Verdict: It did not break out my oily skin and fared well on me. I had worn it for several uses but not everyday without a gap. it blended well with a sponge and photographed well and made my skin look healthy. This makes me very happy with it. Still I would check out the darker shades or may be stick to this one at the end.

I do recommend this one. But try it out at your own risk. For acne-prone oily skin like mine, you can never predict what's working beforehand.

Shall I repurchase? Oh yeah! it photographs very good. In case you are wondering which photograph,it was my last 'No-makeup makeup look' which you can see here.

So, let me know what you think of it.
