Shiny lips with The Body Shop Lily Cole Collection Hishine Lipgloss

Shiny lips with The Body Shop Lily Cole Collection Hypershine Lipgloss , review, swatches, photos
I love lip products. It's like my own crack. Be it a balm or a lipstick, I find myself gliding towards it and reaching out before I know. Hence, I tend to try out almost whatever I get hold of near myself or in the shop. ( eeeeks! No, I don't do shoplifting if that's what you're thinking! I tend to spend up my dough!). Anyway, The Body Shop Lipglosses were there on my list for a long time.

Here is what I feel about it: 400 INR for 6ml. Pricey? Nah IMO. We never finish up the glosses and I need a small amount.

I love the cute small tube. In a regular gloss, there's plenty of air inside a long tube. But here, it is full. Nothing unnecessary. Slanted tip which ensures a nice application.
Now, the product itself is quite thick and very dense. It has very fine shimmers which are not-so-visible. The gloss spreads easily and I love to put on a nice coat. A minute or two, I feel it kind of sets on the lips and the lips look so smooth and glossy! Since it;s thick it tends to stay for a long time with light snacks and drinks between.
But the best part is that, most lipglosses do not add any kind of moisture ( the Lakme tube glosses especially). But this one softens the dead flakes and helps to remove and moisturizes the lips. I do not use any lipbalm underneath. Rather, since I have a substantial stash of lipliners, I wear this on top of them.
Pigmentation is not much. perhaps it would add a slight sheen-effect or not even that. But I love to wear it on it's own or on top of lipliners. In fact, it has replaced my chapstick from my small pouch which I carry in my bag.

So far so good. Then what made it a bit less exciting?

Even though I do not mind the price since the product itself is good and would last for sometime, I wish they were more tinted. I love my lip products intensely tinted which this is not.

Last Word: Even though it did not fare well in terms of pigmentation, if I need a versatile lipgloss that I can wear on top of everything, this would be it since it has no color as such. it also doubles up as a lipbalm in the day time and 6 ml would last me for quite some time. That way, can't complain.

Shall I repurchase? This is one product which I see myself using up before summers are here and surely I am going back for other shades  for even though they are not in the Lily Cole Collection, there are quite a few shades in the permanent line I know.

This range had created quite some hullaballoo. What do you think of this gloss? try or pass? what other gloss can you think of which moisturizes?

PR sample. My opinion is honest.
