Tiny Tips: Makeup products you should splurge on and my own stash

Makeup products you should splurge on
I know I never did this kind of posts. But honestly, since I have been (almost crazily) experimenting with makeup and skincare for the last three years, I think, now I am eligible to pass on my wisdom which I have gathered along.

Here goes my list of Splurges and suggestions which I have. The have run out of my bottle of Bourjois Healthymix and the Body Shop Foundations are too dark for me. But I still love them!

Foundation: Do experiment and find your right shade and the formula that works for you. Once you find that holy grail, stick to it. Repurchase your HG foundation even if it’s expensive. We all know, for makeups, a little goes a long way.

I love my Bourjois Healthymix and Lakme 9to5. In winters I also like The Body Shop’s Extra Virgin Minerals range.

Concealer: Like foundation, if you get your base right, half the job is done. I mix my Bourjois Healthy mix and Bourjois Biodetox for a flawless and perfect shade. I also do use Kryolan Dermacolor.

Black liner: The perfect smudgeproof black pencil is a must have for every kitty however much you may hate black.

I would definitely spend on it. But Faces Longwear liner in Solid Black has been the best product ever. I love it over my gel and liquid liner. It’s like a gel liner and solid pencil rolled into one.

Lips: A perfect shade or red and a perfect nude pout: Every skin tone has a perfect shade of red. Get your red and wear it well. And don’t hesitate to spend on the perfect nudes. Now, don’t be too stark with nudity. :D Choose a shade closest to your natural lip tone and at least a shade or two darker than your facial skin tone.
I rarely use up my lipsticks and trust me, these two shades can take care of you on every occasion.
This is what I have picked up along my journey. Stay tuned for products to save on

  5. I Really want to love the Bourjois range but after trying the healthy mix serum and looking yellow I just can't bring myself to spend on any more :(

I've tagged you in the autumn tag, too, interested to see the perspective of someone who lives in a different part of the world, if you decided to do it :) http://petitmoibigworld.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/the-autumn-tag.html

    1. The yellow is just perfect for my yellow skintone. Normally most foundations are too neutral or pink on me. So, yellow ones are just saviors!

Surely, I would love to check it out. :)
