Since winter is here, my hair fall issues have just fired up once again! After a wash, it looks like my bathroom has more hair than what I have. Naturally, I had really high
hopes from Kama Ayurveda Lavender Patchouli Hair wash, since Kama Ayurveda's
Brigandi is working fairly well for me. ( Reminds me, I need to use it more often).
On my first use, I had several reactions: The scent was that of pure lavender of which I am not the biggest fan. On first wash, I didn't dilute. The shampoo did not lather very well either.
On the second wash, it lathered really well and I was left with clean hair; but here is the catch, my hair was left very dry and tangled as well. Since, I didn't have a conditioner from the brand to accompany that, I used my regular conditioners, and they took care.
Eventually, I noticed, every time I used the shampoo, it lathered well when diluted in water and in the second wash.
A 50 ml travel-size bottle gave me about 7 washes. So, I don't think replacing it for your regular hair wash would not be the best idea.
By the way, it did not irritate my already irritated scalp. I have seborrheic dermatisis.
Did I notice anything extraordinary which would want me to go out and repurchase it? No.
Verdict: It's an average hair wash, provided you have oiled your hair with some light oil and follow up with a conditioner.
What's your take on this product? Try or miss?
Product by the brand, opinion my own.
