I don't know why at times, I put off products I like. A couple of months ago, I have been bombarding with reviews of Oriflame and then, suddenly, even though in my everyday life I use all these products, I simply ceased featuring. Oriflame the ONE Illuskin Compact Powders have been in my kitty for quite
some time now and since I have been using these, I think time is right that these should receive your love too.

My experience of Oriflame the ONE Illuskin Compact Powder:

The powders are warm toned. I know 'medium' looks a bit orangish in the photo, but that's my camera and not the product.
My fist reaction on opening was, " OH! These are so light!" which is once reason why initially they sat in a corner for some time. But then, if you notice, Oriflame had it's AirSoft Loose powder which has been withdrawn right when these Illuskin powders have been introduced. So, I am guessing these are supposed to be substitute of that one?

I find the powders too light. Even medium is quite light on my skin colour. BUT, these are very finely milled and the texture is beautiful and soft. There is no chalkiness and the applicator does a beautiful job. I use sparingly on my face and then start blending.

Here comes the surprising part... the powder just melts in my skin and blends in. My face looks lot brighter, but in a natural manner. Even the dark spots and under eye circles gets hidden to a little extent. It is better to say that the imperfections get slightly blurred with an overall bright and less fatigued look.

But, if you are expecting it to 'control oil' and etc, I wouldn't lean on it because it did not do an excellent job there. Also, since it is light, I don't use it to set my foundation.

Likes:
  • Finely milled.
  • Little goes a long way.
  • Looks natural.
  • Provides some coverage improving appearance of even my dark circles and marks.
  • Packaging is useful with a mirror and a useful applicator.

Not-so-liking:
  • I wish the pan was bigger and there was a little more product in it to make it feel like a real steal because the quality is really worthwhile. Besides, these are priced at around 600 Rupees, which is pretty a penny.
  • The shade selection definitely ought to be better.

Verdict: I like Oriflame the ONE Illuskin Compact Powder which provides decent coverage and is of very good quality. BUT, it is definitely not for every pocket, unless you find a deal.

Shall I repurchase? yes. I would. But, I would check out the color 'dark' for my skin tone.
