The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

The Body Shop is celebrating it's 20th Anniversary of the Tea Tree Oil. As they claim, the essential oils are sourced from a Kenyan Organic Farming community which includes 550 families and creates a sustainable economy for them. However, the reason I am reviewing this oil is because I NEEDED it. As I am desperately trying to battle the acne and the horrible break outs. I have already reviewed the Tea Tree Anti-Blemish Solution here.

Price: Rs 695 for 10 ml. P 795 for 10 ml.

( I think this Za face wash might be one of the culprits because every time I use it, I see a new zit popping out. I hate to throw away things, so, I might have to consider using it as a body wash and
utilize in one go?)

I had received one of the bottles in The Body Shop Anniversary party favor hamper. I got another in the kit I bought which I shared on my Instagram page

. And, having used it alongside the Tea Tree Serum for about a month now, I should be reviewing I think.

My review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil:

At first, I really did not give in to the hype. But, once I started using tea tree products from different brands, I wanted to give things a try. The Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop is in diluted form so that it can be directly used on the skin and would not require to be further diluted.
The 10 ml bottle comes with a screw cap which I could not open in the beginning. It has to be pressed down and turned and is quite secure. The tinted glass ensures that the oil does not break down or change its potency.

On application, the first reaction I always have is how soothing it feels! If I have a painful break out, it just calms and soothes everything. After the entire skincare routine, I would take a drop of the oil on my finger and dab it on the acne trail on my cheeks. Like the serum, I love the calming sensation.

Results of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil:
This is not a very strong formula, but an effective one. If it's a pimple, it vanishes in two days from the beginning of of its appearance. My break outs definitely need time. The mature ones clean up easier than they normally do and it seems that after popping out ( in its own course), if I continue using the oil, the spot heals faster. The redness also goes away faster.

What I think could have been better?
I love the oil in and out. I think the diluted version is actually better than pure ones because in that case we have to go through the hassles of finding the right career oils and so on. This is better because I can directly use it out of the bottle.

The price is exorbitant. I wish it were slightly cheaper.

Verdict: This Tea Tree Oil is definitely mild and effective. It wouldn't dry out the entire region messing up the skin even more, but do its job slowly and steadily. I look forward to using it in the night.

Shall I repurchase? Yes. I would.

Do I recommend? If you are looking for something overnight, this is not it. But if you need to calm down a painful pimple and make it go away, this is it.

One of the products displayed was sent to me by the brand. But, it has not affected my opinion.
