Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation: Worth the hype?

I love using foundation. It's not only about love. Since my skin is uneven and having grown up with acne and pimples, I like to make my skin look smooth, blemish-free and all that jazz. But then, who does not? Because of this very reason, I am always looking for foundations in the market. The major problem is my struggle of finding the right colour.

When Maybelline Fit Me range was launched, I was delighted. More so because in India they

launched the Matte and Poreless line targeted mainly towards oily skin  supposed to blur out the pores and add a matte look.

I HAD to check out the range. In the US, there are 16 shades. In India, there are only 6! Ivory, Medium Beige, Natural Buff, Sun Beige, Toast, Toffee.

The SA gave me Chamois Naturel or Natural Buff 230 which looked lighter in the bottle.

Natural Buff or 230 looks slightly lighter than my skin. It has yellow and light peachy tone which works beautifully for my skin tone. And, the color kind of adjusts I think.

The foundation blends beautifully without looking 'made up' and hides minor blemishes and evens out the complexion. I don't have to struggle a lot with the texture. While it looks a little thicker than what I imagined, it works even better.
It feels like a primer and foundation has been rolled into one. I tend to use a primer anyway.

I have been setting the foundation with my Loose Powder from The Body Shop ( RIP) and the foundation lasts around 8 hours. Since my T-zone is oily, I have to occasionally blot it. But, I did not experience any major disintegration to add a cakey look.

Incidentally, I have not used it regularly. But, I hear some have got pimples or acne on regular uses. Since I have no first-hand experience, I cannot comment on that.

Post application my skin does look smoother and the end result is so beautiful! I have heard this product being compared to MAC. But, I have no idea about that either. But in all fairness, I would not compare at all because this is a drugstore brand and at this price range, I have myself got more than what I bargained for.

To hide my dark circles, I still go with my under eye concealers. But, I think if you have lighter circles, with a little color correction beforehand, you might want to skip the concealer for everyday. A layer of the foundation on top should suffice.

What do I NOT like about Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation?

I like everything about it. But, I think more of the medium shades should have been available.

Do I recommend? If you find a color match, you would never regret buying. Since the color selection is still nice, you should be able to find something.

Shall I repurchase? Without a doubt!
