The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask

Ever since my skin has been going through a rough phase, I have been trying on things. Luckily, in the last fifteen days, there has been a sudden turn of situation and it seems to be in the recovery mode now. Anyway, in my earlier post here, I had mentioned that using masks keep my skin in good health. So, here is the review of another beauty product. ( Read the post here)

Price: 1200 INR ( approx) for 100 ml.

My Experience with The Body Shop Warming Mineral Mask:

When I first saw it in the store I was intrigued. A Face mask which heats up by itself is pretty
interesting. Isn't it? Also, because it is deep cleansing and oil-absorbent, I HAD to try it.

On the first few days, using it was a pain. The mask had settled near the nozzle and clogged it which even with my fullest strength I could not get out. I actually stood on the tube and squeezed out little by little and once the deposit part was out, it got easy.

It is a very dense because it mostly contains kaolin which is very good for oily-acne prone skin. Zeolite is the warming agent. The texture is really thick and heavy.

On application it does feel like it draws out all oil from the skin. I noticed that it leaves a film and kind of erodes my nailpolish which makes me uneasy. The mask warms up on the skin and that feels great. Even though it is supposed to be washed off after 5 minutes or so, I have tried it for 5 minutes, 10 mintues and even 30 minutes. The result is the same -- NADA!

Result:
It did not dry out my existing pimples or acne. Neither did I see any results. On top of it, it feels like there is a dry residue on the skin which I don't love. It destroys my nail polish which is a concern because I am afraid if it's so strong, what if it is not so good for my skin?

Only the warming effect feels wonderful and very relaxing.

That being said, I am not really impressed.

Verdict: The Warming Mineral Mask is good if you are looking for a relaxing spa time at home. But, if I want to gain something good for my skin, this is not that mask. I would rather turn to some other mask from The Body Shop.

Shall I repurchase? No.
