The Body Shop Vitamin E Lotion SPF 30 PA +++

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture-protect Emulsion with SPF 30 PA +++ review

I do not recall if I had shown you this baby from The Body Shop. Most of you know how much I love Body Shop's Vitamin E Range. In fact, so far, if I splurge, I wouldn't give it a second thought before I put all of my money on it. Naturally, when the Moisture Protect Emulsion with SPF 30 PA +++ was added to the Vitamin E Line, I was overjoyed because well, it's my much loved range!

Price: 50 ml for Rs 1495 ( 1500 approx)

Why I was especially looking forward?
I was looking forward more because sometimes, my skin tends to turn extremely dry and I do not want to layer on products. These days, I am more into products which would be multi-taskers.
Creams sometimes can feel too heavy on the skin during summer and they may not always provide sufficient hydration. I also need some sunscreen since too much of sunlight or UV rays tend to break out my skin and give me skin troubles in general. The moisture-protect emulsion seemed to be that one which would serve all of my needs in one go.

My Experience with The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture-Protect Emulsion SPF 30 PA +++

It's a white facial lotion which feels very smooth and watery in consistency. Though it looks white, it does not leave any cast of any sort on the face.
The pump is an added advantage as there wouldn't be wastage and no accidental spillage and it dispenses neither too much, nor too little. One pump is good enough for my face and another for my neck ( I like to be generous over there)
I have been using this one continuously for over a month now and that is one reason, I am not able to swatch the lotion... I have completely used it up.

What I liked about it?

This lotion suits my skin very well. As with my skin, when I switch products, I got a zit or two in the beginning which subsided in about two days. The lotion has the typical scent of the Vitamin E range which I love. But it is not an overpowering kind of scent.

The emulsion moisturizes my skin well and hydrates it too. For my oily-normal current skin condition, it seems a perfect match. But I wouldn't be using this in extreme summer when my skin is very oily, neither is extreme winter when I doubt  if my dry skin would find it enough.

The SPF 30 PA +++ is a good sun protection. Since I am not out in the sun much these days, it seems fine. But, if you go to the seasides, this is not going to be enough. For that matter, for someone like me who would swim in the sun and be in the beaches for at least about 8 hours during the vacations, no sunscreen would prevent tanning or skin irritation afterward.

This time we went to Siargao, a tiny island in the Philippines archipelago and yeah, I have come back with a tan which is going to be there for at least another 8 months and presently my skin got slightly irritated which is subsiding.

What I did not like about it?

The price. I accept that it's a good product and The Body Shop products are expensive. But, 50 ml used twice a day lasted me about one and half months which would be too steep on my budget for an every day use.

Who would like it the best?

Dry-skinned beauties in summer, oily skinned ones in winter and normal skin, all the year round may be or during autumn or fall.

Shall I repurchase? I would check it out here in Manila as most of the stuff is cheaper here 9or in the duty-free section or during sales in India for sure!
