January 2018 empties | The Body Shop,Nivea, Nature's Gate, Moroccanoil, VLCC, etc.

January was eventful in the sense I did use up a lot of beauty products. Did I tell you that over the last six months I am trying to be very consistent with the products I use and it seems my skin is finally happy about it.  It's not that I don't switch products, but I keep the switching to the minimum.

As usual, I am linking the full reviews and also adding mini reviews alongside the products used up. So, let's get to the task,

skincare empties
The first lot

1. The Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Emulsion with SPF 30 : I absolutely loved it. Initially I got a zit or two. But, I have noticed that every time I switch any skincare product in my regimen, my skin
takes a day or two to adjust and then it gets happy again. The lotion made my skin very soft and hydrated. The additional SPF was definitely a bonus too.

Nivea Creme soft review
My Absolute favorite!

2. Nivea Soft Cream: One of the best creams ever. I love using this as a body cream especially when nothing would  do for the dryness. It's one of my absolute must haves and I don't know what I would do without it.

3. VLCC Comfrey all in one cleanser and toner: It came with a facial kit and since there was a lot in excess, I used it just like that. It is one of the most refreshing cleansers. If I happen to find it again, I would definitely buy it.

4 The Body Shop Drops of Youth Serum: I lOOOOVVEE this line! Definitely enjoyed using it.

5 The Body Shop Oils of Life Sleeping Mask: You should check the review Sramana did. She loved it a lot but felt it was slightly heavy. On my oily-combination skin, it still worked well ... or may be, sometimes my skin can feel pretty dry too. In the morning my skin felt pretty plump and de-stressed, a feeling I loved. I also have a few more sachets left with me and I would remember to use it for sure.

hair care empties
Miscellaneaus

6 Crabtree and Evelyn Lemon-Verbana Hotel Toiletries: Because we tend to travel a lot these days, hotel toiletries seem to accumulate. Sometimes we just ask not to refill, other times, whatever is excess, I would bring back. ( Who does not for that matter?), especially if it's something I liked a lot.

VLCC Punarnava Astringent for acne
Sorry about the blurry image. The camera does mess up at times

7 VLCC Punarnava Astringent:This one is one very satisfactory. It works wonders for acne and pimples and I would definitely repurchase once I am through my current stash of skin toners.

hair care not worth the money
More hair care stuff

8 Nature's Gate Shampoo: Wait for the review. Don't head on to buy yet. Yes, you guessed it right that it was a no go.

hotel toiletries
They tend to become my travel buddies

9 Nivea Body Lotion: I feel most Nivea Body Lotions fare pretty much the same. This one was no exception.

beauty declutter
A progress, right?

10 Moroccanoil: I have thoroughly enjoyed using this. But having used this for about a year, I think this was one of the culprits which was giving me hairfall. I am not sure though. But after I stopped using (because it's finished), seems like my hair is not falling out like cat fur all over my house. I think I need to revisit this one. Shall update after a few days again.

In my opinion, I have been doing quite well. Looks like a major stash of my skincare and haircare has been put to good use. In the next couple of months, I am looking forward to utilize and finish more beauty products. As for skincare, I have gotten into this strict 'no-buy-unless-nothing-left' policy and seems like it's saving quite some mulah and of course, saving the guilt of wastage as well!

Until next time,
xoxo.
