Lately I noticed that I have been using a lot of Essence products. I had earlier reviewed the lipliners I have been adoring. Before that, I had used their Color Corrector Wheel and Sun Club Shadows ( did not go well need I remind?) I enjoy using bronzers, especially on days I don't want to put on a blusher, and just want to tone down the powdery looks sometimes compacts tend to leave or just warm my face. When I had noticed a shelf of essence makeup at the Bridgette Jones' Salon in Kolkata, I had kind of mindlessly pick up this Mosaic bronzer ( mostly because it looked interesting with the mosaic of varying shades of warm browns).
Price: 349 INR ( If I remember correctly) for 10 grams.
What I feel about the Mosaic Compact:
It comes in good quantity. 10 grams is a lot of product for a bronzer and would take quite sometime to make even a dent. The product is extremely powdery and has fine glitters which would not stand out, but still, may sometimes reflect. It looks very soft, in fact, if I put it on, I doubt if it would show up on camera. But in person, it gives a soft warmth which lifts the overall look. I have received so many compliments every time I wore it and I tend to reach out a lot, yet have not managed to hit pan.
There is a warm and delicious chocolatey scent and it smells really natural. It is not a strong scent and be careful if you are planning to put your nose inside to catch a whiff because you do not want to breathe in the powder for sure.
The brand claims that it is meant to be an overall powder for a gentle sun-kissed look and I do believe that it does the job fine.
What I do not like about it the aforesaid powdery texture. It does not show up powdery on the skin, but seriously, feels like 70% of the product would be wasted by kicking up the powders.
Do I like the Mosaic Bronzer: Yes I do.
Shall I repurchase? After going through the huge thing, I would want to try something new. And also, for the fact that it tends to create a mess really bothers me. So, no.
Is it worth a try? Difficult to say because while I like what it does, finding it in India or the mess it makes goes against it.
So, that's all about Essence Mosaic Compact Bronzer. Yay or naah?
