L'Oréal Paris Shine Caresse Gloss | Juliette, Pretty Woman

Things have changed a lot in my life. But one thing which has definitely changed is the fact that even though I don't blog often, I show my love to my makeup more than I ever did which is resulting in the fact that before I myself realize, I am using up makeup. Yes, there's a whole lot of empties coming up soon and that does include a lot of makeup as well!

Anyway, I had received one of these L'Oréal Paris Shine Caresse glosses as a PR sample and anothe
r as a gift with purchase. Here is my review ... after all these years (?)

Price: Rs 599

The lip gloss in Pretty Woman did not impress me much in the beginning because back then I mostly wore flamboyant bright colours. Since it's a neutral-warmish semi-opaque lipgloss, I was not even able to see it on my lips. The second issue was, I did not wear much of glosses either. They simply did not make do much.

But now that I am in my minimalistic no-makeup makeup phase, I am digging around ( and somehow buying all kind of MLBB lipcolours) and rediscovered the gloss. Yes, these days I shop my stash more than ever.

Juliette is a transparent gloss with more tint than usual glosses. The finish is lovely and reminds me of my absolute favorite Lakme Absolute Gloss Addict Lipstick in Red Delight (which I had completely used up).

The lipsticks come in sassy looking package as you can see. Inspired by the crystal studded looks of one of L'Oréal Paris Lispticks, I tried to decorate one ( not a bad idea, though poorly executed on my part. LOL). The applicator is very nice. It is just the right kind of wide with a tapered head and a mild curve. The hole in the middle ensures anything extra goes over to the other side of the applicator which you can just flip and use again giving more control.

The glosses initially look like a layer of vinyl giving the lips a creaseless shiny look. Eventually, the warmth sets it a bit more and the gloss starts sinking in making it fuse with the skin. Initially it does not feel so, but with passing time I feel the gloss starts moisturizing the lips like anything.

In short, it doubles up as a lip balm taking care of chapped lips.

Overall, I like the Shine Caresse Lip Glosses a lot and I think it's worth giving a try. Pretty Woman has become my current go-to lipstick, oh wait! I actually used it up completely.  And, I guess that says a lot.

But for a lipgloss, the price is definitely a bit steep, especially, when there are tons of options around.

Have you tried L'Oréal Paris Shine Caresse lip Glosses? Did you like them?
