The Body Shop Shea Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub

Impressing me with body scrubs is a difficult task my friends because this is something I am difficult to please. I take my body exfoliation seriously and use my loofah almost everyday. Yeah, there is hardly a day when I miss a head to toe scrubbing which is one reason I do't have to go for a pedi         (unless I want to relax) or that I never had to go for a back scrub ( I am flexible LOL).

The best part of scrubbing I feel is that it invigorates like no other. So, even if I don't want exfoliation, I go for something mild. Lately, I was contemplating an alternative which would
invigorate and moisturize. I even got a huge bottle of Epsom salt. And then, The Body Shop Shea Body Scrub came my way.

Price: 1195 INR for 250 ml

Frankly, had it not been a PR product, I wouldn't have put my money before trying it out.

However, my experience of the Shea Scrub turned out great. Why?

It is a dense granulated scrub. On gently massaging on wet skin I realized the granules were melting and turning milky and there was a film of oily-emulsion kind of moisturizer on the skin. Since it felt so luxuriant and the granules not so harsh, I used it even on my face. My sensitive skin did not break out.

One thing I can't help mentioning is that I happened to have tasted a granule ( which got into my mouth) and it was by no means sugary. It rather felt salty. So, no sure about the 'sugar' part of the claim.

Since the lettering of ingredient list on the tub is quite small for my eyes ( and I have stopped straining my eyes these days), I tried checking their website. Earlier there used to be a section for ingredient list which was extremely helpful. But now that has gone missing.

To round off my opinion, do I like it? Yes.
Is it out of the world for exfoliation? No. But it is one of the most pleasant experiences.

Shall I go out and purchase? Yes. Beyond doubt.
