Today I tried a look which I had in mind for days. A few days back, I was traveling on metro when I saw a girl wearing a variation of this look. She had done everything very beautifully but her pink eyeshadow was very powdery to look at. Even then, she had a smoky effect which looked quite pretty. When I got back Home Suma (Samyukta) also did a look using the same combo but a vibrant one which was so pretty That I told her I wanted to try on this look. So, this look is inspired by Suma. I don't have good number of blue eye-shadow . neither pink one as I'm not that fond of pink in the eyes. I had a pink eye-pencil from lakme and a deep blue one from Maybelline and I started working with those. Here is how I did it
First , I put on a wee bit of Rimmel Concealer and used my Oriflame Absolute concealer for eyes as a base.
next I put on the pink color from inner corner till the end of the eye-ball.
Next I drew an outward V with the blue eye-pencil from Maybelline and fillied it up towards the inner par. I covered almost 1/3 part
This is not a vibrant blue but a deep dark blue. next i started blending it. I also Put on my VOV black eye shadpw in the extreme outward corner because I wanted some depth.
Then again, I lined the outer 2/3rd of my lower lashline
with the blue
The kajal and the liner
The mascara always completes the look.
I did not high-light my browbone or fill out the lashes. I would do that if I'm going out.
The colors used
This look as you see has a smoky effect and is not a vibrant one. If you feel uncomfortable or you are not bold enough to wear vibrant things, yet want to have fun with colors, you can definitely try this look. It is neither vibrant, nor dull. Just enough to glam up. You can even wear it anywhere( not to the office though).
let me know how you like this or if you have tried this look

Hey,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to ask about your kajal. Which one have you used? I am looking for a really dark black kajal- intense jet black for one stroke definition which does not smudge and the colour stays for a long time.

Ramlah, this post was done a loong time ago, so I don't clearly remember. But as per your requirement , I would very ( read VERY) strongly suggest trying Faces' Cosmetic's Longwear pencil liner. It's amazing! I have never come across anything so good and yes, once set, it never budges!
DeleteEasy and impactful! :)
