It's that time of month when I do a monthly round ups of products I actually reached for the most. Even though there are products I have liked well, only a few go into my REGULAR skin care routine.
So, here they are and let me also do a round up. For the products reviewed, I am also putting in the links. In case you fancy something, click on the links to find out more
Sorry for the hazy image. My camera sensor is acting funny these days.
1 Lactocalamine Classic Perhaps this is going to be regular in my monthly posts. Every time I mention this, I can never stop raving. It's the miracle lotion for insect bites to skin rashes.
2 HImalaya Herbals Skin toner: This one is perhaps the third or fourth bottle I'm using up. It turns oily on most. My trick? I transfer this to a spray bottle and spray it on. Then gently pat with a towel. The excess is removed while my skin stays healthy.
3 The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser: My perfect cleanser for winters and the one for removing every trace of eye makeup without getting raccoon eyes. I have already repurchased a full sized bottle.
4 Yardley of London Deo in English Lavender: I'm not a big fan of lavenders. But this one feels refreshing. Since I have had it for quite some time, it's time I finish it up. My deos tend to take up ages to finish up. :(
5: Himalaya Neem Face Pack: An absolute must have for my acne and pimples. I use this often. But mind, it burns on my sensitive and oily skin, more so, if I have acne or pimples.
6: Lotus Herbals Phyrx Rejuvina Day Lotion: The one you see is a new bottle because I have finished up the last one, which was my second bottle. I'm on my third bottle now. It's your thing if you are looking for something light and moisturizing and works almost like lactocalamine.
Mind, it may leave whitish cast on very dark skin and make oily skin further oily.
7: Lotus Herbals Sunblock SPF 70 PA +++ : This year's favorite sunscreen. Suits me to the T . No tanning, no break outs, nothing! Price is the biggest con. But mind, heard some friends here are allergic to Lotus's sunscreens even though they suits some of my very close pals and my family.
8 Biotiquie Lipbalm Aloe Vera SPF 30 : I have a hoard of lipbalms I'm desparately trying to finsih up. This one is among them. A good lipbalm for everyday use. It contains SPF30, but is too thick to be layered under a lipstick and leaves too much of a whitish cast to be worn alone. I'm wearing this at home. A good option for my dry lips. Prevents drying, but did not do anything great for chapped lips.
9 Garnier Gentle Cleansing Milk: Good for sensitive skin, and doesn't sting the eyes. Review soon.
10 Himalaya Lip butter: Thick, buttery, smells divinely of chocolate and vanilla. Great for chapped lips or in preventing chapping. The only lip balm that stays on for hours. Inexpensive and good quanity.. the list goes on.
11 Liz Earle Body Lotion: As I felt, this turned out to be the perfect body lotion for summer for my dry body skin. Rich, but gets absorbed in a jiffy and leaves a refreshing light smell that is not too strong on your olfactories.
Soulflower Pink for Skin Cleansing Bar: How is a skincare complete without a facewash? I have already finished this up. Since I have not learnt the art of shooting a vanished product, this is an image before it was used up.You can enter my Soulflower giveaway here.
So, these are my most used products? What about yours? Any favorites in common? What were your April favorites? Do share with me. May be I would be able to find another jewel.

Oh..I'm the first one to comment :) :) :)
ReplyDeletelovely post..the idea of transfering toner in a spray bottle is awesome,I too use himalaya toner (hunting for an empty spray bottle like anything;)
Hahahah! Mine is the Lakme astringent bottle I had bought a long time ago. Instead of throwing away, I put it to use. While I never used the astringent, the bottle proved to be quite handy . :)
DeleteGet some spray toner like Lotus Rosetone or like that. When it;s finished, you can go on using the bottles forever like me :P

ReplyDeleteMe too! I prefer the English Rose more than the Lavender. There is a story behind that too. read my last month's sum ups

ReplyDeleteAha! Seems like everybody loves it. But then, that no wonder. It's amazing.
DeleteGreat picks, gonna try some of these :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Do let us know which ones you pick or like
Deletelotus sunscreens are really good.. :) doesnot break me out too..:)
ReplyDeleteThis is the second kind I'm using and I'm quite happy. May be the high SPF content did not work for some
DeleteI want to try the Himalaya lip butter.
ReplyDeleteAditi
Do give it a try. At least I would recommend this. The tube lipbalm efuses to stay put on my lips. But this one is different
Deletegreat choices girl.the truth is Garnier and Body Shop have some of the best beauty products.great post!
ReplyDeleteI agree on the Body Shop. But Garnier here usually doesn't make a mark for me . In fact, I they cater different products here in India which are not impressive. I learnt of if because the UK and the Australian versions were so much better in terms of quality and effectiveness
Deletethe himalaya lip butter is yum ! lotus sunscrren is really good, want to try the tbs vitamin e range now :) Love your round ups Nivs <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Suks. Hihihi, yes, I almost lick it off my lips . If you have got dry skin, you can give it a try. But mind, don't purchase the mini kit. Go for the full sizes instead

ReplyDeletehey liked all d stuff :) :)
ReplyDeletenoting the cleansers as currntly on a lukout fr dem
Aha! Which one do you have in mind?
Deletei too like lotus sunscreen but the sof 40 matte one. the new spf 70 is heavy for my oily skin. i love himalaya lip butter and lip balm. i have not tried the toner. i used to use lactocalamine earlier but now the lotus sunscreen does the same job with spf :) i too use garnier cleansing milk. i prefer body mists over deo,so not tried that one too. you are right about himalaya face pack,it suits for oily and acne prone skin only. and i too have the soap. so many similar things we have been using then :)
ReplyDeleteMy skin is oily too. But somehow this one actually works. But no, doesn;t 'prevent' oiliness of sweat for me. Have to try out the 40 one. For me lactocalamine doesn't do a good job as a sunscreen, but lucky you. Can get away with it. :)
DeleteHahaha. Looks like we;ve got so many things in common. I have never used body mists ( would you believe me?), yet I'm afraid of using deos in the tender underarms.
Good to know you are a fellow oily. Would be watching out more for our reviews now on :)
great choice dear, I love Himalaya lip butter!!
