I wasn't a makeup fanatic even when I was in my college.Well, I loved wearing my red lipsticks. yet, I never wore much of kajal or liners back in those days. I was also perturbed because every time I wore my kajal, it would smudge and spread and give me raccoon eyes.
When I saw the glimmerstick in the brochure, I wanted to give it a try and guess what? I was happy. I was so happy at the end of the day on which I wore it, I recommended it to my friend as well who has always been loyal to it ever since.
I have these two shades now only -- Black and Twilight
The black is a solid black which is pretty dark and well pigmented. Twilight is a navy blue which has dense glitters and it look so lovely!

If you think thesea re like Faces Cosmetics Longstay liners, no, these are not. These are more like Lakme 9 to 5 Eye pencils which I had bought right after. These are slightly more waxy. But if you compare the price ( these are often on sale and would comedown somewhere to 150 INR a piece).
The pencil is not exactly like the Faces Longwear ones, but still it lasts all day on my oily lids with very little smudging. To say it remains completely in place would not be correct, but still, it does not melt o spread around which I find quite impressive
Plus the price ... I feel for the quality, it;s quite reasonable!!

The only thing is that I have to get these through a rep and I don't like my rep :( * hope she is not reading this* LOL
Here are the swatches
Do you like colored liners? or do you prefer just black?

This was my first Kajal/eye-liner I got in high school. It was a gift from mum as I wanted one then :)
ReplyDeleteWow! So, I'm not the only one nostalgic about it.
DeleteGood Post Nivedita:)
ReplyDeleteI have tried green, blue, black, brown n grey eyeliners.
But I absolutely love grey liners coz they give sucha beautiful subtle smoky look to the eyes!
I'm not much into grey, but I feel blue kind of does the job of imparting a bit of smoky effect at the same time doesn;t make me look dul. But then, you are way lighter than me . :) Which ones are your favorite Ruby?
DeleteI am in love with Glimmersticks in Saturn Grey these days. I do agree that they would budge slightly after five hours or so on super oily lid. Great picks! <3
ReplyDeleteI had seen Saturn Grey. May be I should take a second look into it?
DeleteSuggest me a grey liner Nivi plz plz! I am gng crazy craving for it!Loved the blue one more :) i like colors but who dareth to wear it in my city :\ Mayb I shud pick up courage :)
ReplyDeletehahaha! I would say go for the blue one. It;s very dark and would impart a beautiful effect without looking 'too party'!! Yes! Go ahead! liners are liners... they won;t hurt :P
DeleteI love coloured eyeliners...they give instant glam...love ur review
ReplyDeleteThank you preethi. exactly. Even if I am ina hurry, quick liners and some mascara would do the job.
Deleteblue is so very party kind off shade
ReplyDeleteThat one is actually very wearable since the blue is really dark. I personally love it!
