L'Oreal Smooth Intense Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner left me sitting on the fence.

L'Oreal Smooth Intense Smoothing Shampoo , photo, review

Quite some time back L'Oreal had this offer where if you bought a shampoo, you got a conditioner free. I had got the Elvive, the pink one and here is the variant particularly targeted towards dry hair. because I did not have much good experience with the other variant, I was staying away. As for this one, I am not sure what to conclude.

The Shampoo: It's a thick fluid yellow ochre in color. It smells a bit strange... kind of old oil? A bit pungent? No, it had not expired. It's not altogether unpleasant, but you need to be familiar with it in order to like the scent.

What I say?
It does not do a great job at cleansing. Since it is supposed to be moisturizing, it kind of builds up in the ahir if used regularly. I use it with my VLCC Anti dandruff shampoo which is drying and deep cleansing. That way, it leaves my hair soft.

But I do not like the fact that I cannot use it on it's own because my hair is fine in texture.

The conditioner:
It looks just like the shampoo only much thicker. It's more like  cream. It spreads easily and deeply moisturizes the hair. I prefer to use it with clarifying shampoo to combat the dryness rather than with the shampoo. I dare not use it everyday or regular shampooo because I am afraid it would weight my hair down.

For both the products, the scent lingers on the hair and used in the right quantity, it doe not weigh the hair down. Overall, I am not impressed, but I am not unimpressed either.

  1. I used this conditioner a while, it doesn't even condition my hair...

  2. L'oreal hair care range never suited me.. but it works so nicely for my sis
