'Shopping' and 'irritation' are almost oxymoron at times. but yes, the twain does meet, at times when you are shopping from Inglot. Well, let me be perfectly clear here. The SAs there are super friendly and super helpful. Actually walking into the store is a treat! They offer you to help and patiently help you out or just let you linger if you want to just take a look. I am pretty irritated at the brand's sales policies!!
I wanted a palette without grids which I can customize as per the occasion. Hearing from Shayoni of Sweet and Bitter that they do have something like this, I went out to grab one. Unfortunately, the stock was not there and I had to drop in another day.
Anyway, I was super happy with the palette and out of my happiness as well, ended up buying two blush refills as well. BUT then the blow landed!! They would not sell the palette without a grid! I had to buy a grid 'separately' in order to buy the palette!!
My question is, if I want a palette without a grid, why would I buy a grid? And If they would not sell the palette without the grid, why do they bill them as two different items? They should be considering the product as one.
Moreover, the lady, the SA which was there, said that they had no grids for blush, even though I think I saw one. My idea is may be that grid was priced less. Anyway, I had to pay about 400 INR separately for a grid which is of no use to me!! Imagine my hard earned money running down the drain! And 400 is no kidding!!
I am happy with the palette, I am happy with the blushes, but it is their policies that turn me off and I am not sure if I would want to go back again soon because it's not a good feeling when you feel you have been cheated and your hard earned money has been wasted!
On a sweeter note, I don't think I would ever buy another palette from them just because of these stupid policies and even if I do, I would go back only for more blushes or eyeshadows!

yeah, their policy is super annoying! Btw how much was the palette for?
ReplyDeleteThe palette was pretty affordable. Around 430 I think. Not more than that.
Deletetheir online shopping is nothing worth mentioning too.... they are unable to fulfill orders, delay shipping or cancel/refund orders w/o notice... sick!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's really bad! I thought since everytime I walk into the store, somehow I don't feel as nice with the shopping, I was considering buying online ever since... :(
DeleteOh my! Beautiful shades of blush :D I didn get their palette yet and this is so scaring! Mayb I wil not get one as I already have d kryolan palette.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's a better idea. Since, in spite of that waste, I did get the palette, I shouldn't mind getting refills I think
DeleteEarlier they would not sell you the refills unless you had the palette with u....yes tht means u have to carry ur palette to show it to them before they sell u the refill....FUN!! That is y I would buy frm their online shop....
ReplyDeleteExactly! Are they dumb? I did have a palette, but who carries them around esp if it's summer and there's every chance of any cosmetic of getting affected by the heat? If my lippies melted on my way since I stayed putside for a long time, would Inglot have replaced my refills?
Deletetoo annoying policy and blushes are gorge :)
ReplyDelete:D agreed!
Deleteblush color is soooo pretty..
ReplyDeleteI am loving them both!
Delete
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty irritating concept to be honest, but what beautiful colours nonetheless!
Exactly! Everytime we walk into the stores, there's somekind of confusion. You can never have a smooth shopping experience unless you comply to everything the SAs says. but then, they are also just doing their job.
Deleteawww :(
ReplyDeletecheer-up gal ...shit happens !!
tkcare
Which is why I am not going back there soon :P
Deleteinglot does have very stupid in-store policies. i want some real nice picciees of these blushes on u, okay!
ReplyDeleteSure! Why not?
DeleteThat is really annoying. I think without the grid is more user friendly as we can put whatever refills we feels like and the grid kind of limits the case.
ReplyDeleteThat is the point of this palette! I wonder what their marketing policy is. Make some money one day and lose a customer forever?
DeleteWhattt???? I got it without any grid!! Have to talked to Edward there? He is the non-pushy know it all person who is the best SA. The girls out there can be a little ^%^$%^$^%#@&*(@&(#.
ReplyDelete;)
I did. He seemed nice on the first day. But on the second day, there was a couple of girls who were busy checking out everything on store and he did not seem that friendly either.
DeleteThe girl was alrightish, but read the 'grid experience' :\
Wow! i'm a finicky shopper and I would be annoyed as well!!
ReplyDeletethat aside the blushes look awesome!
They are!!
DeleteWell that is a weird policy!
ReplyDeleteHun I just saw that I am in your blogroll! *does a happy dance* Thanks a ton! That is really sweet of you. You are one of the bloggers I have been following from the start and if YOU enjoy reading my blog, then that just makes my day!
ReplyDeleteThey are weird per se! Hey, you had always been on my blogroll!! I love your place dear!! And the fact that you drop by as well!!
DeleteStupid policy. Gorgeous blushes!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteWow I loved the blushers :)
ReplyDeleteMe too!!
Deletewhat bloody 400 bucks for that grid? u can hang the grid in a hook & organize ur dangler earrings on them! what say?
ReplyDeleteI have a better idea. What about I gift it to an SA in the store? :P
DeleteWhen I went some 5 days back to shop for 30% flat discounts,
ReplyDeletethe SAs told me that there's discount only on palettes,FS concealers.. No discount on FS E/s n FS Lipsticks.. I was like what?
But when they billed, they came to knew there' discount on all FS things :|
Btw, you can use the grid for your makeup brushes.
ReplyDeletePaste/tape it firmly on a good length and use it to manage your brushes!:)
They are normally so clueless!! Thanks for the idea dear. But most of m brushes would not go in and it would also eat up a lot of space. :\
