I have always been much intrigued by shampoo bars. I have always wanted to try one. But in stead of one, when I saw Soulflower's Shampoo Bars at flat 150 INR, I knew that I had to pick up and I got not one, but two variants!
I have been trying out the Rosemary and Sandalwood anti-dandruff bar for a very long time. Yes, I opened it somewhere around February and it is still there with me.
My Expectations: Since it was meant to be anti-dandruff and read somewhere that these bars are nourishing and would not leave my hair dry, I though I had come across a miracle product. Who wouldn't want a product like that?
Moreover, the bar looks so pretty! On using what I found,
My Experience: It needs a bit of effort to lather up. The lather is not really very soft and my hair, which is not very dry or tangled, immediately dries up and tangles!
As for the cleaning, no there isn't much happening there as well. If you want to clean your hair, this is not the one. Since on application, my hair turns into a mass of tangles right in the shower, I would not struggle hard to massage around to prevent mechanical damage.
The scent of this bar is however refreshing. If you have oiled beforehand, you can expect something better, like instead of a tangled mass, the hair looks like tangled 'hair' and of course, a conditioner is a must.
In short, the Soulflower Rosemary and Sandalwood Bar failed for me and failed miserably!
Have you used any of these shampoo bars?
BTW, I had used their Pink For Skin Bar which I really liked. Check out the review for sure.
