Oriflame Illuskin Foundation |
From the names of the colors, I felt that there would be no point is trying out all the
shades, since pink and lighter colors would not match me in any case.
So, I requested for the shades Natural Beige and Olive Beige.
The Swatches |
Natural Beige is slightly warm and even though I thought it would be light for my skin, now that my skin has lost most of the tan, it suits me very well.
Olive Beige is light, neutral color which would work for neutral to warm skinned beauties, but not for the cool toned ladies.
My Experience: Natural Beige is a good match for me.
The foundation is quite runny. I tried blending with a brush, but I feel it works the best with fingers. It's liquid texture is extremely blendeable and, even though I expected lesser coverage, the coverage was medium. I cannot comment if it's buildable, since I never do that; I am afraid of cakey looks.
It covers my blemishes and marks, yet, they can be seen through. In other words, your skin would still look like your skin, but it would definitely look better and even.
I was fooled with the texture and thought it would wash away easily. Wrong again. I have actually splashed water on my face to find out if it melts. No, it does not.
I wear it frequently to work, and after around 4 hours, it starts fading evenly. I am not able to say if it looks patchy, because it matches my skin and at the end of the day I find traces of it on my wet wipes.

Dislikes:
The shade selection needs to be even greater. I don't understand the deal of brands in India not coming out with colors for darker skin tones, or do they like the misconception that black is not beautiful and foundation would make one fair?
Apart from that, for myself, I love the foundation. But at least Oriflame could be a bit different from the other brands and cater to women of darker skin tones.
Recommendation: Natural Beige would work for a wider range of skin tones, but not greater than NC42. The color selection would work only for tones lesser than that.
Shall I repurchase? I would. I am loving it for everyday use.
Product by the brand. Honest Review.
