Colorbar Skin Illuminator Pen in Glamour 0001 Photo review and swatch| Drugstore dupe of YSL Touche Eclat
If you have observed, I have a serious addiction to illuminators and highlighters. yes, in spite of my combination skin, I could never embrace matte, and have always gravitated towards soft shimmers and illuminators.I have been hooked on to Isadora Highlighter which comes in their Correcting Concealer wheels. Naturally, on realizing, I had this one in my stash, I had to reach out.
Having used it for a few months, at last when I tried to review, I realized, I had taken out the very last drop! Sorry, no FOTD. :(
How did I apply? Figuring out where to place the illuminator is slightly tricky in the beginning.
But once you do, it's the best thing makeup wise! I would place some on top on my cheekbones, a little beneath the outer corners of my eyes and dot it a bit towards inside and towards the temple. Don't go overboard with both the amount and the area. I would place a little underneath my brow-bones, on my cupid's bows and then, gently pat it to blend.
My Experience: It's extremely fine shimmer suspended in a gel-based medium which is a dream to blend! it does not dislodge any makeup and spreads so beautifully. It gives ample time to blend, yet, once set, it's not going anywhere. removal is not difficult either.
The pen form, with brush at one end and a little clicking button on the other makes it very portable and user-friendly.
Effect: I love love love the healthy glow it gives. It just escalates my entire makeup look in one go! It brings in light in the right manner and skin looks so healthy and glowy, yet not 'shiny'.
The Con:
2.2 ml for 525 INR. Seriously? with almost regular use, this one lasted me for about 3 months only! Now, that's tad expensive.
Do I recommend? Of course! get it right now!
Shall I repurchase? Once I use up my Isadora ones, I definitely would!
Verdict: This is one product I would love to repurchase and would recommend it to every one, especially to those who love that soft dewy/glowy skin.
Do you like skin Illuminators? What is your favourte?
