SaND for Soapaholics Under the Sea Shampoo, review, price, photo, buy online.

Sometime ago, I learnt of this new brand called SaND for Soapaholics. On learning that they were the people who were actually handling ( and making I think) the products for Lush India, I WANTED to try out their products. I wanted to review SaND for Soapaholics more because, if an Indian brand caters the same high quality products as a popular foreign brand would, I would rather buy products from the Indian brand to support. Naturally, I was pretty intrigued.

Now, you would know that I have seborrheic dermatitis which tends to flare up for no reason at all. Even when my hair is clean, my scalp would get oily and itchy and my skin would break out. So, it's imperative that I have a clean scalp; yet, using regular
shampoo everyday or even every alternate days, does dry out the hair. So, when this bottle of SaND for Soapaholic Under the Sea Shampoo arrived, I was excited.I looked up the ingredient list and it looks like just what I need. The Rosemary Essential oil agrees a lot with my hair.

 My Experience:
The shampoo comes in a tiny bottle. 60 grams is priced at 336 INR which is pretty expensive I must say. It looks like a berry smoothie and smells of Rosemary and something good.

On my first use, I was confused. There was no lather At ALL! I massaged it on and rinsed and went in for a second wash. This time, I had mild lather. I realized that since this contains natural ingredients, it does not lather much.

My hair is about a foot and half long. I needed a good amount for a rinse.

Eventually, I figured, that if my hair is dirty, I would wash with regular shampoo. But,other times, when I don't have dirt or dust and need to rinse off the grease and oil on the scalp, this would be the ONE.

How do I use SaND for Soapaholics Under the Sea Shampoo now? I apply little bits on my entire scalp and then gently keep massaging for a good few minutes. Then wash it off and go in for a second rinse.

After my wash, my hair feels soft and shiny, but not conditioned as regular shampoos would. But, I don't mind because I follow up with their Shine & Shiny (which I am loving by the way). My scalp also feels fresh; the itchiness goes away and my hair does not feel stripped off the natural oils at the same time. The shampoo kind of balances everything back.

Then what do I complain about?

The price and quantity. I accept that this is a high quality product with best ingredients.Iif you use it, you would actually feel that. Still, the price is too high for the amount of product I require. I have used it for about four times and I am already down by more than half the bottle.

I wish the price were a bit lower so that it suited most pockets. I know good things come with a price-tag. But this tag is going to burn a hole in my pocket.

Do I recommend? If price is not an issue and if you are looking for something very mild just to get rid of the grease in the scalp and soothing it, this should be a must have.

Shall I repurchase? I love this product for what it does to my scalp and overall hair-situation. But, the price is definitely putting me on the fence. I don't mean that it's not 'worth' the price. But yes, it would burn  a hole in the pocket. So,I am unsure. But, I think I would keep a bottle of it when my hair and scalp needs some extra care.

You can buy the products directly from their website. Good news: COD is available on select products and in select locations.
