The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector Cream

The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector Cream review, ingredients.

I have been trying out a lot of products from The Body Shop and truth be told, I found some gems, while there were not-so-impressive products. Consequently, whenever I visit the store, I keep buying this and that. Anyway, I had first come across the Hemp Hand Protector at my sister's place. Since she is a mum and an obsessive housekeeper, she keeps everything extremely neat and clean. Consequently, she has to keep washing her hands which takes a toll on the skin. For years, she would keep a tube on her centre table and every now and then, rub on a bit and she claimed that it's the best one ever.

Since, I am the lazy bum, ( rather, I do other things), thankfully, my hands are not that thirsty yet. But, you know, the weather gods can be cruel and sometimes, working with water while cleaning and etc., my hands get dry or they kept getting so. I was desperately looking for something. I bought Marks & Spencer's Hand Cream and also a Glazed Green Apple ( I think) Hand Cream from The
Body Shop. But then, I received this Hemp Hand Cream promoting a CHANGE which is, for every purchase of this 100 ml hemp Hand protector an amount would be contributed to the brand's own fund which would go towards reclaiming the environment. That's great!

My experience of the Hemp Hand Protector:
Unlike most hand creams, it's thick, and by that, I really mean it's thick; at the same time, it's quite emollient. It spreads easily and feels quite oily/moisturizing. There is a mild scent which is unusual. I find it pleasant, but some may not like it. In the night, I would take about a pea-sized amount ( no kidding) and it feels more than sufficient. I would massage my hands and eventually it gets absorbed ( or wiped off?)  Whatever the case is, on the morning next, my hands feel back in form again.

I had grown a small callus from working on the computer over hours. On repeated application of the protector, the callus eventually disappeared.

I think I have heard the question if this can be used on the face. I cannot tell you if it can be because, at the peak of summer, even though my skin is dry now, I cannot imagine putting on this heavy cream on the face. Anyway, I got you covered!

Verdict: The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector is a good hand cream. In terms of quality and quantity and the fact that so little is required, I do not mind paying for it. And ladies with dry hands who like pampering themselves should give this a try.
Ladies with not-so-dry skin who love hand creams would love it too. My sister is already on her second or third tube.

But, for myself, if in the far future, I finish this up and if I locate it in sale, I might get it again. But then, I can easily get away with some thick cold cream.

PR Sample.Honest review.

  1. i'd really like to try this one out! My hands suffer a lot due to work and this one sounds promising! :)

  2. I love this one. I would have never picked it up or cared for a Hemp hand cream. But, luckily I got the chance to try it. I found it in Ahmedabad where is weather is super dry. This came as a blessing for me. Really good.
I went to the store today to check the British Rose range. I was hoping to get the hand cream but it didn't impressed me.

  3. I haven't tried any TBS hand creams, but this one definitely sounds great.
