My simplistic travel makeup in the bag
My makeup style has changed over time. There was the time when my skin got horrible and I would try using all sorts of heavy foundation and concealers to hide. Eventually things came round. I have turned my style again which I enjoy a lot and that is mostly inspired my French and overall European styles.Mostly I use a BB Cream or on top of skincare just some concealer under the eyes and a little here and there in the t-zone and blend it out and top off with a dusting of powder.
Since I am traveling, I thought it would be a nice idea to show how quickly I can do my makeup. It's very basic and clean.
The first makeup I would normally use is a little concealer. I love L'Oreal Paris True Match
Concealer ( on my second bottle now) which I blend under the eyes and in the t-zone. It brings out a light on my face and most importantly, it looks so natural.
I would then dust on a little Oriflame the ONE Illuskin Compact powder which has been with me for a long time. By now I have made a decent dent and hope to hit pan soon.
For my brows, I use either the Face Shop Brow Designing Pencil on another Face Shop Eye Brow pencil ( review soon). The spoolie from the former comes extremely handy.
For my eyes, I am enjoying blending the golden-beige shadow stick from the Bench. It is Korean
made and sets once I finish blending. The brown is for the time when I want a little more definition in the crease or lightly line my lashlines.
Essence Mosaic Powder Bronzer: I use it to add come definition and colour and take away the flat look. Also, blend in the crease for the put together look ( learned from Wayne Goss).
Follow up with a mascara from Smashbox ( it's not finishing up in spite of all the tough love)
For the lips, there is no fixed product. But the Essence Lip liners are getting smaller and smaller. I used them in all possible combinations. Probably they would be gone by next month.
So, here is my functional on-the-go makeup kitty. It gives a clean face with a polished look which I am currently enjoying.
If you have any such kit, please do share. I am on both Instagram and Twitter and of course Facebook!
Loved reading the post. I'm still so much in awe of the good old content based blog posts. Glad you're hitting pans ❤️
