The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask

If you follow me on Instagram ( which you should for mixed bag of different things), you might know that I had received some PR items from The Body Shop's Shea Butter range. Honestly, I take my time  I use the products for a long time or use it frequently enough before I dish out the reviews.

I was more delighted about the hair products because needless to say, these days, more than makeup,
I am dabbling with hair care products. Yes, you may have seen my post on hair before. I was hoping to try something that would deeply condition my hair. Naturally, I had high expectations.

Price: 285 ml for INR 1545.

I have used The Shea Butter Shampoo and Conditioner and also used the hair pack with conjunction with other shampoos. The results with the Shea Butter shampoo was not extraordinary.

It's a thick very creamy mask and does smell beautifully of shea butter which is mild and pleasant.

However, coming to the mask. I have used it in a constant streak. After getting out of the pool, I would shampoo my hair and then leave the mask on for about 7-10 minutes and then wash off.

Result: On days when I have been able to leave it on longer, it has yielded better result. But given it is priced so high , I was expecting more.

I know my demands from products are high and it does go higher if something comes for an exorbitant amount. On average, I have not been extremely impressed. It did not really smoothen or soften my hair much. Neither did it condition it the way I had hoped.

I have used half-way through to give it enough time before the review and no, I have not noticed any significant improvement with time either. May be I would do a follow up post on products I have been using for a long time ( almost till the verge of finishing up).

Do I recommend? No. The mask which comes for 1545 INR is not cheap and has not really lived up to my expectation. I was hoping to give something extra to my dry hair. but it did not make the cut.

PR sample. Honest review.

  1. Beauty is in the skin! Take care of it, oil it, clean it, scrub it,
perfume it, and put on your best clothes, even if there is no special occasion, and you'll feel like a queen.
If society is hard on you, fight back by pampering your skin. Skin is political.
Otherwise, why would the imams order us to hide it?
